Below you can find information concerning the daily program, registration and other details about the six-day seminar CHIGSHE KUNDROL which will take place in Athens, October 2nd-7th.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
It is Rinpoche’s wish that all those who will take part should preferably receive all the transmissions that will be given in order to receive the full benefit.
Taking into consideration that the seminar will take place during working days, Sunday to Friday, which could be a serious obstacle for some to participate, we made it possible in such cases for people to participate during the evening sessions, after the brake. Like this those who can’t participate all day, can at least receive the empowerments of the evening sessions, which is also of great benefit.
Nonetheless it is our sincere advice to you all, to really exhaust all possibilities before deciding not to participate in the whole seminar. Considering the great and long term benefit of such an event, it might be a good idea to try and take some days off from work for this purpose, if possible.

WHERE THE EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE
The event will take place at the EMMANTINA HOTEL 4* in Glyfada area, a pleasant environment with a large conference room that has all the necessary equipment needed for this happening. The hotel is situated on the coast Poseidonos Avenue, about 250m distance from Glyfada’s central square and about 200m from the beach.
In order to avoid the noise of Athens city and considering the multiple hours of the schedule, we thought it would be nicer to organize this event in a more enjoyable and quieter place near the sea. The hotel is about 20-30 minutes distance (12-13 km) by car from Athens center and from Piraeus harbor and it is reachable by tram and busses. Soon you will receive maps and other details on how to reach the hotel.
Important note:
The hotel offers special prices for single, double and triple rooms for those who wish to book a room for the seminar. The fees are: 57€, 62€, 75€ per day, breakfast included and 10 € extra if one wants to have lunch or dinner. This seems like a good choice. The hotel has 80 rooms for booking. If they are not enough, then the one responsible for the reservations will make sure that you will be able to get a room in a walking distance nearby hotel. Of course there are many restaurants and coffee places in nearby Glyfada.

CONCERNING THE CONTRIBUTION FOR THE SEMINAR
It is very important to mention that the center is a completely nonprofit organization.
The center that organizes the seminar is a buddhist place of worship, licensed by the Ministry of Religious affairs that is sustained solely by the donations and the support of its members. The only purpose of the seminar is to give people the possibility to meet and connect with the purest and highest teachings and transmissions of Tibetan Buddhism.
Since there is no support of a central organization or a steady economical support by sponsors, the contribution of each one of us is very important and indispensible in order to cover all the expanses connected to this event. These include: flight tickets, lodging and food expenses, renting of the hotel facilities, printing of pamphlets etc.
Taking into consideration the economy crisis and the difficulties of the times and wishing that as many people as possible may take part in this event, we made a list of contribution possibilities which are, compared to the true value of this event, very reasonable and fair.
It is important to do ones contribution with a mind of generosity and with the understanding that through this we all help such a great happening take place, an event that can benefit endless beings.
In the case that someone really wishes to take part but has serious economical difficulties, then they should not hesitate to contact us and we will surely find a reasonable solution.
FOR THE WHOLE SEMINAR
- Per Person 280€, early payment until 15th of September 240€.
- Married couples and groups of four and more people 250€ per person, early payment until 15th of September 210€/ per person.
FOR THE EVENING PART OF SEMINAR
- Per Person 200€, early payment until 15th of September 170€.
- Married couples and groups of four and more people 180€ per person, early payment until 15th of September 150€/ per person.
PER DAY
- For the whole daily program 60€
- For the evening daily program 45€
SPECIAL CATEGORIES
- Unemployed with unemployment card as well as students with card and handicapped 120€ for the whole seminar, for part of the seminar 100€ and per day 30€ or 25€ respectively.
- Selected members of the Sangha (Lamas, Drouplas, monks, nuns) 120€ for the whole or part of the seminar or 30€ per day.
DONATIONS FOR THE TEACHERS
The donation to the teachers is separate from the seminar contribution. Teachers and translators don’t get paid for their precious contribution, but in order to be able to continue their valuable work they depend on the generous support of sponsors and students.
This is why it is the custom, to make a donation to them as a gesture of gratitude for the priceless teachings and guidance that they offered us at the end of the teachings. There will be a box in which one can place an envelope with a donation before or after the transmissions of the day. The last day of the seminar these donations are offered on behalf of all participants to Rinpoche, his monks and to the translators for their effort and kind help.
We would also like to point out that Beru Khyentse Rinpoche is in charge of several charitable foundations in India, Nepal and Tibet. His donations are used for the sustenance of these foundations, for the monasteries, hospitals, schools and orphanages and the people whose lives depend on it.
Know that all your donations are to be used for a good purpose though which you become part of the benefit done to others!
